In order to correctly inform the public opinion, the Protection and Guard Service stipulates the following:
In preparing the protection mission for the president of Romania, Mr. Traian Băsescu, on the occasion of his participation at the meeting of The Supreme Council of Magistrates, the Protection and Guard Service analyzed all the risk factors, including the presence of the participants in the authorized protest meeting of The Associations of the Magistrates’ victims in Romania, which took place in front of the C.S.M. headquarters. The conclusion is that Mr. President can take part in his activity without any risk.
We stipulate that the representatives of the S.P.P. attended the meeting on 08 January, 2007 which took place at the Town Hall of Bucharest. On that occasion there was signed the Protocol no. 32/6 on the organization and development of the public meeting of “The Associations of the Magistrates’ victims in Romania” at which there took part 20 persons.
The President of Romania, Mr. Traian Băsescu, was informed about the meeting; the President deemed the activity as legal and democratic.
The works were interrupted till the end of the protest meeting, that was authorized to last till 11.30. Immediately afterwards, the works were resumed and everything went on in normal conditions.
We mention the fact that the security of Mr. President was not jeopardized, in any minute.
