12 SPP officers have been selected to perform
U.N. mission in Darfur - Sudan
U.N. mission in Darfur - Sudan
A group of 12 SPP officers has passed all UN
evaluation exams, being evaluated for about 3 weeks by a team of
coordinating officer which has come from the U.N. Headquarters on this
purpose.
At the end of the testing the 12 SPP officers have
got very good qualifications which means that they are going to perform
a new protective mission in Darfur. At present, there are other 12 SPP
officers who are developing protective missions in the capital city of
Sudan, Khartoum.
This group of 12 officers will carry out protection
and guard mission in order to ensure the security and physical security
of the high UN dignitaries deployed in Sudan - Darfur. The
officers’ participation for these external missions is a
voluntary one.
We state that at present SPP has got 24 officers employed in UN missions that are deployed in Sudan and Afghanistan.
In 2004, U.N. signed a memorandum with SPP in order
to ensure the protection for UN dignitaries that execute their mandates
in Sudan and Afghanistan.
