Several S.P.P. officers have been selected for missions
of the United Nations Organization
of the United Nations Organization
Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 12 o’clock there is
held an informal meeting with the 12 S.P.P. officers which have been
selected for missions of the United Nations Organization in Sudan
— Darfur.
The selection was done by a team of coordinators who
came from the U.N. headquarters for this purpose. The 12 militaries are
to carry out a new protection mission in Darfur. At present other 12
S.P.P. militaries carry out protection missions in the capital of
Sudan, Khartum.
The three-week testing referred to the training of
the group in order to counterattack terrorist actions such as
kidnapping, different types of assassinate, fire arms attack,
car-jacking, avoidance of and getting out of ambush, finding the
devices planted on the route, surveillance detection and counteracting
as well as preventing the actions that would compromise or infringe
upon the public image of the dignitary.

The meeting will take place at the Headquarters of
The Protection and Guard Service (Calea 13 Septembrie, Corp B3). The
access of the press will be possible starting with 11.30.
The accredited press representatives are expected at
11.30 at the metro station “Izvor” in order to be taken to
the place where the activities are going to happen.
